As part of a statewide energy initiative, I led the UX design for ComEd’s new Residential Delivery Time of Day (DTOD) Rate and EV Credit enrollment experience. Mandated by the Illinois Commerce Commission, this project empowers residential customers—especially electric vehicle (EV) owners—to save money by shifting energy usage to off-peak hours. I collaborated cross-functionally to design and validate user flows that support eligibility checks, EV VIN validation, dynamic messaging, enrollment, and account management. The digital experience spans rate education, intuitive enrollment forms, system constraints, and confirmation emails—delivering a seamless, accessible user experience across ComEd’s digital platform.
As the UX Designer on the B&P ComEd RD Time of Day workstream in Exelon Digital as part of EnergyLab project, I worked closely with a principal designer, content strategist, and cross-functional tech teams to deliver an intuitive interface for ComEd’s residential utility application. I translated product requirements into user flows and wireframes, developed journey maps, and validated high-fidelity prototypes. I led discovery workshops, applied design thinking, and prepared responsive mobile designs. I also organized Figma files, documented specs for developer handoff, and ensured a seamless, user-centered experience aligned with both business goals and user needs.

• Partnered with the principal designer to define and refine end-to-end user flows based on product goals and user needs.
• Co-led working sessions to map out task flows, ensuring alignment across design, product, and engineering teams.
• Iterated on early flow concepts using feedback from stakeholders and usability principles to drive clarity and simplicity.
• Ensured all user flows were documented in Figma and integrated into the broader design system for consistency and scalability.

• Designed low-fidelity wireframes for multiple user flows, supporting key features like Time of Day rate enrollment and EV credit registration.
• Translated complex energy rate logic into intuitive, screen-by-screen wireframes that simplified the user experience.
• Iteratively refined wireframes based on feedback from stakeholders, usability reviews, and technical feasibility discussions.
• Maintained consistency in layout, interaction patterns, and UI components across all flows to support a cohesive design system.

• Developed high-fidelity wireframes in Figma for multiple key flows, including entry points, DTOD enrollment and EV registration.
• Applied ComEd’s visual design system to ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and responsive behavior across all screen sizes.
• Collaborated with the principal designer to refine visual details, interaction states, and UI components for production-ready designs.
• Presented and reviewed high-fidelity mockups with stakeholders and developers to align on final layout, functionality, and edge-case handling.
